If you’re an active user of MetaFlight.aero, you’ve probably noticed a significant improvement in stability recently.
At MetaFlight, we spare no effort to provide the best possible experience for our users. So we’re going to tell you about the recent steps we’ve taken to improve our server’s performance and bring exciting new features to your experience.
As a result, we’re delighted to announce that the results of our efforts are already visible. A preliminary production run was deployed last week, breathing new life into our server. Initial feedback is promising, with increased stability and improved performance.

We’ve heard your feedback and are working on a series of improvements that will further enhance your experience:
- a new data model and infrastructure management to avoid bottlenecks on the perf
- your preference will be automatically saved (language, map setting, aircraft setting)
- a huge amount of data from your flight will be directly processed and displayed in your logbook at the end
- events from your flight will have positive and negative XP impact
- your NFT items will show how much FC bonus that you earn and the remaining days before the end of bonus
- simbrief OFP generation will be automatically change your flight departure time and flight duration
- a new dynamic filter on missions screen to let you search in more effective way your desired mission
- your passengers satiety will be more realistic
- your meals service will be changed by breakfast, launch, diner, snacks
- a new system to manage your flight diversion
- bugfix on cabin announcement
- popup screen to edit your aircraft configuration from your flight configuration screen
- enhancement of the passengers and cargo slider selector
- enhancement of the calculation of remaining payload to load pax and cargo on your flight
- inFlight live flight data enhanced
- rewind your flight on the map with all your flight event
We look forward to rolling out these new features and improvements to the live version of our application. However, it’s important to note that only features validated by our beta testers will be made available, to ensure an optimal experience for all our users.
